The arrival of a Convention Center is a real opportunity to expand the services in business tourism and plays a leading role in the economic development of the area. This is the reason why Metz Métropole and the City of Metz have decided to accelerate this dynamic by creating a Congress Office, just like all the cities with a Convention Center, and to involve the local socio-professional and economic players making the territory strong. 

 

PURPOSE

The main purpose of the Congress Office is to "sell" the Metz Métropole area, its potential to attract (culture, sport, leisure, economy, trade, environment ...) and its structures specialized in business tourism. By doing so, the Congress Office is first complementary to the Tourist Office of Metz by adding a real value to the specific niche of the "business tourism" but also to “Metz Métropole Développement” while promoting the economic development of the area. It brings together all the local players, be they business tourism professionals, prescribers, profit or non-profit service providers and drives a real common dynamic to reveal the assets of our territory. 

The objective is to present an attractive, coordinated and shared offer to generate a maximum number of seminars, congresses or any other professional events taking place in Metz. 

 

Mission

• Proactive development of territorial marketing actions domestically and internationally;
• Creation and animation of a hosting charter or "business charter" bringing together the local professionals and providers;
• Creation of a territory brand;
• Enhancement of assets, promotion and communication during specific trade fairs, nationally and internationally. Creation of a specific offer of attractiveness, creation of events dedicated to professionals and organizers of congresses and conventions, relations and press animation, national and international referencing sites...
• Setting up of the Ambassadors' Club;
• Advisory function and facilitator with a connection between the local players of business tourism and the organizers of professional events.
